After spending 16 years as an attorney in the public and private sectors, James Galyean became CEO of Icelaven Development Group, which invests in public and private companies. James Galyean has also founded and co-founded multiple education-related organizations, including the Restoration Project Foundation (RPF).
Under the guidance of Mr. Galyean, RFP matches South Carolina children with mentors. It has worked with area organizations for nine years to access mentors and provide children with supplies. The organization also supports other mentorship programs in the state by offering them guidance, financial support, and volunteers. It encourages children to explore their talents, thrive academically, and reach their potential.
Mr. Galyean founded the education management organization (EMO) Reason & Republic in 2018, a program for various academic programs. The EMO oversees SC Preparatory and SC Leadership, online programs supporting sixth through 12th grade students. He also has experience in charter programs based on the classical model, school choice issues, education policy, and charter school law.
